I was born in sunny California and proudly hold the role of eldest among four siblings—a position that often came with my fair share of “big sister leadership,” as my brothers and sisters like to remind me. Summers were some of my fondest times, when I’d transform our home into a little classroom, complete with a blackboard. I happily played the part of teacher, guiding my siblings through math lessons, reading stories aloud, and even assigning “homework” with a smile.
That early love for teaching and creativity has grown into my passion today: creating coloring books, educational activity books, and children’s storybooks designed to inspire imagination, joy, and learning. I also keep adults in mind, since coloring is a wonderful way to relax, unwind, and find a moment of calm.
Being bilingual in Spanish and English allows me to bring two worlds together in my work. Many of my books introduce children to Spanish through fun, interactive coloring—because what could be better than learning new words while filling a page with color?
And if you see lots of animals, especially dogs, in my books, that’s no coincidence. I’m a lifelong animal lover, and dogs in particular hold a special place in my heart. Their warmth and playfulness make them the perfect companions in a coloring adventure.
